Russia blamed Rammstein’s voice – Curious

The leader of the German rock band Rammstein, Till Lindemann, was accused by the State Hermitage in St. Petersburg of illegally using digital images from the museum. The musician used images from the interiors, as well as artifacts from the collection, which were uploaded to a digital marketplace.

The management of the Hermitage warns Lindemann of violating the institution’s licensing policy. It is noted that during the filming of the video for the song “Favorite City” he signed a contract with the museum, which states that the rocker has the right to use images of exhibits from the Hermitage only in the music video to the composition.

The action in the musical mini-film takes place in the halls of the museum, where he performs the song accompanied by a women’s symphony orchestra. However, Lindeman also released a series of NFT (irreplaceable tokens) with digital images prepared during the filming of the video, which was not coordinated with the museum.
