The Russian head of state approved the introduction of a digital ruble, TASS reported.
It is an additional form of Russian currency.

A new platform has also been built through which to use the digital currency. This format will only be used for transfers and remittances, and there is no possibility of opening a deposit.
The law is expected to be adopted on August 1. Russia has been working on the new currency for months.
He expects this to support the economy. The details of its use are negotiated.
