Shoigu says mass exercises in Russia are ending

Military exercises from almost all districts are taking part in the exercises throughout Russia, Shoigu said.

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu on Monday, February 14, said that part of the military exercises in the country were coming to an end. He said this at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“Some of these exercises are coming to an end, some will be completed in the near future,” he said.

Shoigu recalled that the exercises are being conducted by the Western Military District, almost all fleets are participating – this is in the Barents Sea, the Black Sea, the Baltic Sea, and the Pacific Fleet. Troops of almost all military districts take part in them.

At the same time, he did not say anything about the exercises Allied Resolve-2022, which are taking place in Belarus and should end on February 20.

As Alexander Lukashenko said today, the decision to withdrawal of Russian troops from Belarus will be accepted by him together with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Previously Ukraine demanded clarification from Russia within 48 hours on military activities near the borders and in the temporarily occupied Crimea within the framework of the Vienna Document.

After Ukraine received no response, in The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the convening of an urgent meeting with Russia and other countries participating in the Vienna Document.
