Russia and Ukraine have agreed to a one-day ceasefire over a series of evacuation corridors to allow civilians to avoid fighting, Deputy Prime Minister Irina Vereshchuk said.

According to her, Moscow has pledged to observe the ceasefire from 9:00 to 21:00 around six areas heavily affected by the fighting, including regions near Kyiv, in Zaporozhye in the south and some parts of northeastern Ukraine .
