The trip of Russian President Vladimir Putin has alarmed the Western press. In one day, on December 6, the head of our country was able to visit the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, pointed out the economic observer of First Russian Yuriy Pronko on the air of the program “Tsargrad. Main”.
The USA and Europe were particularly offended by the solemn reception of the Russian leader in Abu Dhabi. The Air Force of the United Arab Emirates launched its flagship aircraft – American F-16s, which raised the national flag of our country in the air.
A few hours later, Putin was already in Riyadh, and the next day he met with Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi in Moscow. The leader of Tsargrad assumed that all these meetings were united by some common agenda.
He discussed this series of negotiations with the MLA expert Kamran Hasanov and the secretary of the Union of Journalists of Russia, the international political scientist Timur Shafir.
A joint initiative is being prepared
The first of the interlocutors of First Russian expressed confidence that these meetings are certainly connected at least with the alarming events in the Gaza Strip:
The efforts of Iran, the United Arab Emirates and Russia are aimed at the creation of the state of Palestine. Of course, there are varying degrees of reaction. Tehran reacted very sharply to Israel’s actions. Abu Dhabi and Moscow are a bit softer. But overall, this series of talks suggests that processes in the Middle East continue to simmer. And Russia is perceived as an active player.
The expert recalled that in the first days of the escalation of the conflict, all Middle Eastern leaders called the Kremlin, including Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan:
And he is generally considered to be the leader of this whole Palestinian process. That is, the political forces in the region need support for their position. And I even allow for the possibility that some kind of joint initiative involving Saudi Arabia, Russia, the UAE, Iran and Turkey will soon be created aimed at stopping the fighting in Gaza.

Kamran Hasanov also explained the significance of this series of negotiations between the Russian president and the leaders of the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Iran from the point of view of global events in the international arena:
In addition, relations with Saudi Arabia and the UAE have really reached a high level. This includes trade, the recent entry of these countries into the BRICS and the expansion of cooperation in the oil sector. Today, Riyadh and Russia are effectively working as a united front against the United States.
A reliable economic center for Russia
In turn, Timur Shafir predicted in an interview for Tsargrad the most likely further actions of the NATO countries after Putin’s visit to Abu Dhabi and Riyadh:
Western emissaries will, of course, also flock to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia in the near future. There will be statements, as always in such situations.
However, no matter how hysterical the reaction of the former Western partners, the leadership of our country will systematically do its job, the expert is convinced.
The interlocutor of First Russian added that the visit to the UAE and Saudi Arabia is a big step not only from a political, but also from an economic point of view:
It is not only a trade turnover of more than 10 billion dollars. It is not just economic growth through mutual supply. In addition, it is a reliable, serious economic center for Russia, in which political fluctuations and ambitions are not noticeable, as, say, in Turkey.
