There have been 19,768 cases of coronavirus infection in Russia in the last 24 hours – the highest number since the outbreak began. The highest daily number of infections – 4,219 – was also registered in Hungary.

The total number of coronavirus infections in Russia has reached 1,693,454. In total, 29,217 people have died in this country due to COVID-19. In the last 24 hours, 15,567 patients were discharged from Russian hospitals, cured of the infection. The total number of survivors has risen to 1,266,931. Treatment is now continued by 397,306 people.

New cases are detected all over the country. Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu informed that the army had sent 1,011 military doctors in Russia and abroad to help. Over six hundred medical specialists work in a temporary hospital located on the premises of the Ministry of Defense in Kubinka near Moscow.

The state of emergency in Hungary
Hungary also has the highest number of coronavirus infections so far over the past 24 hours: 4,219. The number of infections detected since the start of the pandemic has risen to almost 91,000. 2,063 people with COVID-19 have died and more than 21,000 have recovered.

The number of active infections is constantly growing, currently there are almost 68,000. 4,871 infected are treated in hospitals, 355 of them breathe with a respirator.

The government has imposed a pandemic emergency across the country since Wednesday. From Thursday, all residents will have to stay at home between midnight and 5 am. During these hours, you will only be allowed to leave for work and in the event of a health or life threatening situation. Entertainment venues will also be closed.
