More and more walking clubs decide to cancel or postpone the evening four days this year. A large walking sports association, the SGWB, canceled the event everywhere. Many walking clubs in the middle of the country are affiliated with the SGWB, but also, for example, in Amsterdam-North, Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht and Medemblik.
Furthermore, the evening four-day event will in any case not take place in Hoogezand-Sappemeer, Sneek, Augustinusga, Surhuizum, Dronten and Roosendaal, among others. Other organizations have announced that they will make a decision soon.
School children mainly participate in the evening four-day event. They walk a distance of 5 or 10 kilometers four evenings in a row. This usually happens in May or in the first half of June.
