The implementation of the contract for the sale of gas to China in four years will become the largest construction project in the world, added the Russian head of state.
The Chinese National Petroleum Company (CNPC) will prepay $25 billion to Gazprom for the construction of the Power of Siberia gas pipeline, ITAR-TASS also reported.
The amount of the advance payment corresponds to the previously announced value of the gas pipeline, the capacity of which is 38 billion cubic meters per year. The head of “Gazprom” Alexey Miller announced earlier that the construction of the pipe begins immediately after the signing of the contract.
