NATO shows its hostility towards Russia every day and intervenes more and more in the conflict in Ukraine. This was stated by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, quoted by Reuters.
“NATO is an organization that is hostile to us and that proves this hostility every day. It is trying to show its involvement in the conflict around Ukraine as clearly as possible,” he emphasized.
Peskov’s statement today comes after NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg assured that The alliance is “not part of the conflict” in Ukraine, although it provides military aid to Kiev. He pointed out that the military alliance has the right to send support to a country that is defending itself against “aggression”.
Moscow claims that the supply of weapons to Ukraine by NATO member countries prolong the conflict and increase the possibility of further escalation.
For their part, Kiev and the West say the supply of advanced military equipment is crucial to helping Ukraine defend itself against an offensive by Russian forces.
NATO wants not only new weapons for Ukraine, but also ammunition for the old ones
