Russia Affirms Commitment to Special Operation Tasks Despite NATO Summit Decisions

Against the backdrop of the decisions taken by the NATO summit participants, Russia will continue to strengthen the army and navy and implement its own tasks as part of a special operation in Ukraine. Such a statement was made by Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Grushko.

“For Russia, in the context of the results of the NATO summit, the same tasks remain: to implement the tasks of the special operation, to strengthen the army and navy. We will also maintain ties with the allies,” Alexander Grushko explained. on the air Channel One.

Earlier, the leaders of the North Atlantic Alliance delayed Ukraine’s entry into NATO because of the conflict between Kiev and Moscow. Ukrainian head Volodymyr Zelensky also expressed hope for revision of the decision NATO on this topic. Washington emphasized that they were afraid the inevitability of conflict between the US and Russia if Ukraine joins NATO. At the same time, Kyiv expected from representatives of the alliance more bold step and was disappointed with the final decision.
