According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the operation was prepared by the same unit of the British Navy that blew up the Nord Stream.
The Russian Defense Ministry said the Ukrainian army attacked Russian ships in occupied Sevastopol under the leadership of UK specialists. The press service of the department announced this version of the events in Telegram.
According to the official speaker of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Igor Konashenkov, the instructors of one of the units of the British Navy trained the military personnel of the 73rd Special Center for Marine Operations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the city of Ochakov, in the Mykolaiv region, and has also prepared attacks on ships in the waters of Sevastopol. In addition, the same unit of the British Navy planned and executed the explosion of the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines in the Baltic Sea on 26 September.
In Sevastopol, the invaders began to take emergency measures, trying to prevent the Ukrainian army from making new attacks. After the October 29 incident, the so-called “governor” of the city, Mikhail Razvozhaev, ordered that all CCTV cameras be turned off or the civilian population denied access to broadcasts.
“The special services will take care of individual video clips that will allow the enemy to detect the defense systems of the city,” said Razvozhaev.
As mentioned above, the RF Ministry of Defense recognized this explosions in Sevastopol damaged the “Ivan Golubets” minesweeper and a mesh fence in Yuzhnaya Bay. According to the Russians, Ukrainian forces used 9 unmanned aerial vehicles and 7 maritime drones to strike.
“Governor” Mikhail Razvozhaev added that Russian forces shot down all planes and one surface vehicle. He called the incident the most massive attack on Sevastopol since the invasion of the territory of Ukraine.
On October 27 it was reported that a drone attacked the Balaklava thermal power plant in Sevastopol. After the explosion, a fire broke out in the facility, Mikhail Razvozhaev announced that the transformer was damaged.
