– What has happened is that some students in third grade have been provoked by the fact that students in the second year have worn Russian sweaters. There is clearly a national culture that second-year students should not do so when third-graders have started the Russian era. Some third-year students have thus sprayed water and vinegar. Chlorine has also been sprayed, says principal at Sørumsand upper secondary school, Per Grahn Romerikes Blad.
The incident happened during school hours on Wednesday this week. Two of the second-graders got chlorine in their eyes, but after being examined by the health service, the feedback is that there should be no question of permanent injuries. At least one other student also got vinegar in his eyes.
Russian President Bendik Berg Dokka at Sørumsand upper secondary school distances himself from what happened.
– The game itself was dragged a little too far. Anyone who sprayed chlorine is aware of it now in retrospect, and thinks it’s sad that someone got it in the eye. When it’s dragged so far, it’s not fun, Dokka says VG.
The police tell Romerikes Blad that they are familiar with the incident, and that they will follow up the case further.
