Towards the end of the year, car sales increased again in November 2021. The Toyota Rush was again the best-selling car in Indonesia for the second month in a row.
Data from the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (Gaikindo) noted that car sales increased again in November 2021. From wholesales data or distribution from factories to dealers in November 2021, car sales are heading to normal numbers as before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Data from Gaikindo noted that wholesales last month reached 87,435 units. That figure rose 15.7% compared to the previous month which was ‘only’ 75,544 units.
Regarding the best-selling car, the Toyota Rush is again king. Previously, Toyota Rush also topped the best-selling car standings in October 2021. Sales of Toyota Rush beat its sister, Toyota Avanza and Veloz.
As the top selling car in November 2021, the Toyota Rush was recorded to have sold 6,285 units. Last October 2021, the Toyota Rush also became the best-selling car with sales of 5,312 units.
In second place is the Toyota Kijang Innova. During November 2021, Toyota distributed 5,871 Innova units. Innova sales also rose from the previous month which was only 4,162 units.
The Suzuki Carry will be the best-selling pickup in Indonesia in November 2021. Suzuki sold 5,127 Carry units last month. Suzuki Carry is the third best-selling car in Indonesia in November 2021.
Furthermore, in fourth place is the Toyota Veloz with sales of 4,210 units and the Toyota Avanza in fifth position with sales of 3,946 units.
Then in sixth place are the Toyota Raize with 3,901 units, the seventh Daihatsu Gran Max Pick with 3,827 units, and the eighth Daihatsu Sigra with 3,471 units. Toyota Fortuner (3,389 units) and Daihatsu Xenia (2,743 units) are in ninth and 10th place respectively.
