The current vaccination processes will arrive in different rural areas of Los Angeles in the next 3 weeks, thanks to the programming carried out for this purpose by the Communal Health Directorate. The main objective is to approach and facilitate the immunization of different segments of the population, protecting them from the main circulating respiratory diseases.
The first part of these operations will take place between Monday, July 10, and Friday, July 14; the second, between Monday 17 and Thursday 20 July; and the third, between Monday 24 and Thursday 27 July. For the most part, they will consider the delivery of Covid-19, influenza and anti-pneumococcal doses, anticipated Cynthia Barras, a nurse from the Health Directorate and coordinator of this activity.
“With the aim of bringing vaccination even closer to the most remote sectors of our commune and providing all the options to our users -especially those with chronic diseases, the elderly or those who have difficulties in traveling to health centers- is that, during July, vaccination rounds will be carried out in different rural sectors with vaccines against influenza, Covid-19 and anti-pneumococcal, the latter for people aged 65 and over.
In the first week, for example, the community health teams will be in the sectors of Saltos del Laja, San Carlos Purén, Los Robles and Millantú, on Monday; in Llano Blanco and Virquenco, on Tuesday; and again in Saltos del Laja, Mesamávida and El Aromo (adjacent to Villa Génesis), on Wednesday. To these will be added rounds in San Gerardo and Alborada, on Thursday; and Dicahue, on Friday.
Complete information on this rural vaccination program, scheduled for July, will be available to the community on the social networks of the Los Angeles Community Health Department and on the municipality’s website www.losangeles.cl
