Yesterday and today, a series of accidents have occurred in Seoul where water pipes burst or split.

Residents of the area had trouble washing dishes and using the bathroom because the water supply was cut off.

When the plastic bag is filled with water, the waiting residents take one or two plastic bags.

When water was cut off due to a water pipe accident nearby, the city of Seoul started to supply water.

“I have to have lunch, but I came out like this because there was no water, and I couldn’t even wash the dishes. So I came out like this.”

Around 12 noon yesterday, a report was received that a nearby water supply pipe was cracked and leaking.

As the Seoul Waterworks Headquarters, which found the leak, stopped supplying water for repair work, residents of more than 300 households suffered inconvenience for over 8 hours today.

A resident who went up and down the alley for a long time and put down 6 liters of water he had received.

I went into the house where the water was cut off.

No matter how much I turn the faucet up, no water comes out. In the sink, the dishes are piled up like this.

There was no toilet water, so there were a lot of residents who couldn’t wash their bodies.

The Waterworks Business Headquarters believes that water leaks have occurred due to the loosening of the joints of water pipes as the temperature difference has recently increased.

The road in front of Wangsimni Station, one of Seoul’s major transportation hubs.

Water overflowed not only the driveway, but also the sidewalk.

Around 7 am today, an underground water supply pipe near Wangsimni Station in Seoul ruptured and water flowed out, flooding the road.

“The water came up to this level, almost like this. It was like the Han River, here. I was surprised. The water came up all of a sudden.”

The accident caused traffic congestion on the road, and water supply to 40 nearby households was stopped for over 8 hours.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Waterworks Headquarters resumed water supply around 4 p.m. today, and are investigating the exact cause of the accident.
