Running: Lidingö race celebrates 60 years – Sune Eriksson has run all the races

On Saturday, September 28, the classic Lidingö race will be held for the 60th time, and only five people have participated all year.

80-year-old Sune Eriksson from Vagnhärad is one of the two participants in the biggest races of 30 kilometers. Sune has only lost one, last year when he decided to start participating in ten kilometers, with the right of his age.

– Always when you reach the finish line, you think this is crazy. but then it takes a while and you want to run again, he says.

– From the beginning you wanted to be better, but then it was just good for the body. I was a salesman and I drove a lot. When I got home I had to move, it was like poison. Otherwise, I would have just been grumpy with my wife, says Sune Eriksson.
