Running Jeni breaks her own marathon record at the age of 75

75-year-old with a world record in a marathon. 76-year-old Jenny Rice set the record in the 75-79 age group with a time of three hours, 33 minutes and 27 seconds. With this, Genie has surpassed her previous world record in Chicago at the age of 75.

Jeni says she is somewhat satisfied with this performance. Jeni said she expected to be able to run in three and a half hours. She also says she failed in the last two miles.

Jenny, a real estate agent from Ohio, started running at the age of 35. Jeni started running as the most effective way to lose weight. But later it became a part of life. It’s been more than 40 years since they started this race.

She broke the world record for marathoners in her age group with a time of 3:27:50 at the 2018 Bank of America Chicago Marathon. Later, at the age of 70, she broke her own record by three minutes at the BMW Berlin Marathon (3:24 :38). She also held world records for her age group in the half marathon (1:37:07) and ten thousand (1:11:41).

Despite running non stop like this, Jeni is not hurt. Jeni proudly says it is the result of intense focus and hard work.
