Runner-Up Who Killed a Woman in Sleman Arrested!

Sleman Police arrested the perpetrators hit and run which killed a female motorcyclist in the Moyudan area, Kabupaten Sleman, Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY), last night. The perpetrator was arrested by the police in Purworejo, Central Java.

“We have secured the perpetrator at his house in the Purworejo area, Central Java at 11 a.m. earlier. The man with the initials HA (32) is a resident of Purworejo. We have taken him to the Sleman Police for further investigation,” said Head of Laka Satlantas Polres Sleman Iptu Galan Adi Darmawan to reporters , Wednesday (20/10/2021).

The perpetrator, said Galan, was arrested after the police found the vehicle plate at the crime scene (TKP). Armed with the license plate, the police arrested the perpetrator who fled by bus to Purworejo and left his car at the Kadipiro gas station.

“(Escape) He said he was panicking. We’ll deepen it later during the examination at the office,” he explained.

For now, the police have not named HA as a suspect. However, the police have pocketed a number of pieces of evidence that can be used to raise the status of the perpetrator to a suspect.

“We already have sufficient evidence. Then we are still conducting an initial examination. Then a case is carried out to later determine as a suspect,” he concluded.

Previously, a car and motorcycle hit-and-run accident occurred in Sleman Regency last night. A motorcyclist who was a young woman died in this incident while the driver of the car fled.

This incident occurred on Jalan Gedongan-Klangon, precisely in Bulak Klampis, Kalurahan Sumberrahayu, Kapanewon Moyudan, Tuesday (19/10) at around 21.00 WIB. The victim who died was known to be a woman with the initials IN (21) a resident of Sedayu, Bantul. He is a Vario motorcycle rider with the number AB 3507 DB.

The accident involved the victim’s motorbike with a silver Daihatsu Xenia car number B 1474 UFK. This incident began when the motorcyclist was traveling from north to south at a moderate speed. From the opposite direction, the car was suspected to be a Daihatsu Xenia.

“When we arrived at the scene, due to heavy rain and limited visibility, the two vehicles collided with each other,” he said.
