The former preacher is currently serving a sentence of one year and eight months for a number of offenses, including tax evasion and illegal bookkeeping.

More warnings

The 54-year-old must now be moved to a safer prison. The background is that he has quarreled with fellow prisoners about teletext and that he is annoyed that the prison chief does not have a Christian background, according to the newspaper.

They have been given access to the prison reports, where it should appear that the former “Farmen celebrity” participant has received several warnings.

Until now, he has stayed at the open institution Svartsjö in Ekerö municipality. The institution has the lowest security class.

After he, among other things, threatened with the “media bomb”, records from the prison show that the 54-year-old has been investigated for several negligence.

Dagbladet has tried to get in touch with Sögaard’s lawyer, so far without success.

Involved in «violence situation»

In mid-December last year, he was investigated for commenting on the prison chief’s religion – that he lacks a Christian background. According to the records, he denies having made such comments.

A few days later, he is said to have stayed outside the prison area, and was therefore investigated for escape. He is said to have returned to the cell as soon as it was discovered, and received a reminder to follow the rules.

On the first day of Christmas, Sögaard is said to have been reported to be involved in a “situation of violence”. In an interrogation, he is said to have stated that he wanted to watch teletext, as another inmate was said to have been upset and wanted to watch something else.

The other prisoner is then said to have threatened violence, and Sögaard is said to have stood up and prepared for self-defense. The Prison and Probation Service does not consider that negligence has been proven by the 54-year-old.

Moves after noise

After a total of five warnings and nine cases of suspected bad behavior, he is now finished at Svartsjö.

A recent report states, according to Expressen, that he will be moved to the prison in Täby. The prison has a higher security class – class two, the second highest.

“After an overall assessment of what has emerged regarding Runar Sögaard’s default, it is considered that there is a risk of continued default and he must therefore be placed in a security class two institution for order and security to be maintained,” the Prison and Probation Service’s report states.
