Whoever manages to follow the convolutions of the rumor around the future / probable / hypothetical screen technologies that Apple intends to use in its future iPads raise their finger. Because personally, in all honesty, I stopped trying to follow! New twist today with the forecasts of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) which is interested in deliveries of OLED screens until 2025.
According to DSCC forecasts, the first iPad equipped with a 10.9-inch AMOLED panel will be released in 2023. The latest news is that the iPad Air (therefore 10.9 inches) should benefit from it, but for a launch next year, while the iPad Pros would wait until 2023 to take advantage of 11- and 12.9-inch OLED displays. Just to make people wait, Apple has chosen mini LED technology, but only for the large iPad Pro (for the moment).
The same report also puts a spell on the Touch Bar, which after all is an OLED display like any other. The touch bar of MacBook Pro should disappear body and property in the future, according to DSCC sources. And why not from the next generation of laptops? Credible rumors (from Ming-Chi Kuo and of Mark Gurman) have indeed announced the end of this component which never really knew how to impose itself.
