Rumors surrounding Nintendo’s next console continue to run rampant, with the latest gossip coming from Activision, who are now reporting that the Switch successor will have as much horsepower as a Playstation 4 or Xbox One. That is, last generation consoles.
We did report on this speculation recently, but now a new piece from The VergereportProvides more enlightenment.
Specifically, one of Activision’s top executives, Chris Schnakenberg, is said to have hinted at the fact that Nintendo’s new console will be very similar to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in terms of performance and hardware.
“Given that the performance is more consistent with the Gen8 platform and our previous offerings on PS4/Xbox One, it’s reasonable to assume we can make something compelling for NG Switch as well.
“It would be telling to make sure you get prototype development hardware early and prove it early.
