Rumors arose in the world of games: rumors among specialists tell about the possibility of an open world game of the “Donkey Kong” universe being in development. The new game would be a successor to the Nintendo Switch.

According to information from the Nintendo Primethe project has the same team that developed the game “Super Mario Odyssey”, which was well received and evaluated by the community gamer.
There was little publicity, but, still according to rumors, the game would already have a codename that has everything to do with the content: “Donkey Kong Freedom”. That’s because the central idea of the new version would be for Donkey Kong to go through the forest like Tarzan, an iconic Disney character.

In addition to the rumors in circulation, a leak of information made this expectation even greater. This is because, in recent years, there have been suggestive leaks regarding a new game in the franchise, along with remake of “The Legend of Zelda” titles.
Still according to speculation, the launch should have taken place in 2021, but it would have been postponed until this year.

“Donkey Kong” is a Nintendo game franchise created by Shigeru Miyamoto in 1981. The focus of the story is on the character that takes the name of the game and needs to defeat different villains while going through the scenarios.
The last release of the franchise took place in 2014, with “Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Deep Freeze”, a game for the Wii U format.
