iPhone 15 Pro it looks like it will bring a very drastic design change. The latest rumors say the iPhone 15 Pro will come without physical buttons to control volume and power.
This rumor came from Ming-Chi Kuo, the analyst Apple whose predictions are often accurate. Kuo said the volume and power buttons on the iPhone 15 Pro will be replaced with solid-state buttons.
The solid-state button itself isn’t really new technology. This type of button has been used as a Home button on iPhone 7, iPhone 8, iPhone SE 2, and iPhone SE 3.
As is well known, Apple ditched the physical Home button in 2016. That mechanical button has been replaced with a solid-state button that doesn’t actually have any physical moving elements.

Kuo said this solid-state button design will only be available for high-end iPhones released in 2023. This means that this button will be an exclusive feature for iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max / iPhone 15 Ultra, as quoted by MacRumorsSunday (10/30/2022).
The iPhone 15 Pro series will reportedly have two additional Taptic Engines on the left and right to provide feedback to users. This change means that the number of Taptic Engine on the iPhone will increase from one to three.
It is not yet known whether the shape of this solid state button will be different from the volume and power buttons used i phone at the moment. Kuo also said the flagship Android phones will also follow Apple’s design and adopt solid-state buttons.
