Manchester City touted to be at the forefront to get the 21-year-old player. Reportedly, Pep Guardiola’s polished club has even entered into a personal agreement with Haaland for a salary of 500 thousand pounds per week.
In the midst of the Manchester City rumors, Haaland made a scene for Arsenal fans by uploading a childhood photo with the club’s jersey. His colleague in the Norwegian national team, Martin Odegaard, even replied with a joke.
“If he comes to England, of course he needs to join us. But I don’t know what he will do, but he’s a good person,” joked Odegaard.
“To be honest, we haven’t talked too much about it. I know he faces a lot of people who try to ask and tell him what to do, and I don’t want to be like that,” added the former Real Madrid player as reported Metro.
Savage in the German League, Haaland will face different challenges if he moves to the Premier League. But Odegaard believes his partner will be toxic in England too.
“He is a beast, he is strong, he is fast. I think he has everything needed to play in every league in the world,” continued the 23-year-old.
