Toyota Land Cruiser 400 could become a hydrogen SUV
More and more rumors and assumptions arise around the recently presented Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 250. And this applies to both its appearance and equipment. As for the first one, independent designers have already presented some interesting projects by sharing their renders. As for the characteristics, the other day there was an assumption that the Toyota Land Cruiser 400 2029 would have a hydrogen plant.
On the other hand, options for the presence of hybrid technologies, including a plug-in hybrid, as well as an electric motor, are not excluded. The presentation of the new SUV is expected in at least six years, or even later, so it’s too early to predict anything. Nevertheless, the information that has appeared deserves attention. So, the chief designer of the project, Keith Moritz, prefers fuel versions, but due to poorly developed infrastructure, this option is not acceptable everywhere.
As for hybrid installations, there are also some nuances here. In particular, the current architecture does not support them, so appropriate upgrades will be required. In general, the most votes received from experts for the fact that the SUV will receive a standard hybrid (photo: Toyota).
