In a long Instagram post, he explains to his fans exactly what is going on and why the couple has decided to call it a day.
“In my relationship, in order to meet Monique’s expectations, I have tried to be everything I am not. And that eventually broke me up. It has led to a split a number of times, which is now really final ”, writes the singer. According to Hazes, the relationship had stopped working for a while and the bomb exploded during a holiday in Bonaire. Three days after their vacation, he announced that the relationship was over for him.

Hazes then mentions his relationship with Sarah Van Soelen, who, according to the singer, is currently still purely friendly. “During all the ups and downs in recent years, I have been regularly welcomed by the Van Soelen family, who have always been a tremendous support and help to me. Especially when I was through it. I also became very good friends with Sarah van Soelen and although we felt a strong connection at the time, it remained friendship.
