Rumored Details on Dodge’s First Electric Car: High Power, 880 Horsepower, and More

The Dodge brand under the umbrella of the Stellantis Group announced the beginning of a new era last year, namely its first electric car, the Dodge Charger, which was dubbed an electric muscle car. This, of course, is a marketing ploy. Since the presentation of the concept, there has been a grave silence about this future model, but now the media The Drive informs that in the most powerful version this electric model will develop at least 880 horsepower.

It is important to add here that these are unconfirmed rumors, but when you see the power parameters of other electric cars, such numbers do not seem to be something extraordinary, but rather a logical solution.

Dodge representatives have previously stated that the electric version will develop more power than the current, more powerful Charger Hellcat models – this automatically means more than 800 horsepower. Also, at the event of the presentation of the concept, the manufacturer stated that in the most powerful version it will be equipped with an 800V battery system, providing high charging capacity, but cheaper versions may have to settle for a simpler 400V system.

We can say with absolute certainty that it is a four-wheel drive machine with two, possibly even three electric motors. It is important to add that this high power will be developed by the more powerful versions, while the cheaper, simpler versions will develop around 400 horsepower or slightly above that mark. Exact information will probably have to wait until the official presentation.
