Jakarta, Selular.ID – Xiaomi’s first foldable smartphone named Mi Mix Fold was released exclusively in the Chinese market in April. While there have been no leaks about the international launch of Xiaomi’s foldable phone, a new rumor from China claims the company is actually working on a refreshed version of the original Mix Fold.
The device doesn’t necessarily become the Mix Fold 2, as it’s basically the same device, with just a few tweaks. One of those tweaks has to do with the display, and its refresh rate, this upgraded version will have 90Hz on the internal display and 120Hz on the external display (compared to 60/90 Hz on the original variant).
Next, an under-screen camera will appear, although the leaker didn’t mention which one. The growing assumption speaks of a foldable internal display, which on the original Mix Fold did not have a selfie camera at all.
Furthermore, the new Mix Fold seems to get support for 120W fast charging (up from 67W), for a 5,000mAh battery, which is 20mAh smaller than its predecessor.
That’s all the changes, a small refresh. However, all of these additions could help Xiaomi better compete with the upcoming onslaught of foldable phones from other Chinese companies.
