Rumor: Sony greenlights Uncharted franchise reboot

Published by The Leak reportedthat Sony has greenlit the reboot of the Uncharted franchise. Presumably, the series will be attached to an unnamed studio and Naughty Dog will only help with development at the very beginning.

The reboot is expected to star either a young Nathan Drake or a new character, but Drake’s cameo is still worth waiting for. In 2015, Naughty Dog’s lead game designer Robert Cogburn revealed this Uncharted 4: A Thief’s Endit will most likely be the last numbered installment of the franchise.

Recently hosted on PC publication Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection. The collection includes Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and a standalone game Uncharted: The Lost Legacy about Chloe Fraser, Nathan Drake’s girlfriend and ex-girlfriend. The Collection was previously released on PS5.

It’s not worth waiting for the announcement of a reboot of the franchise in the near future. According to the publication, the reboot is still in its infancy.
