Resident Evil Village – new enemies, location and much more; game works fine on PS4 Pro – Rumors

New information on Resident Evil Village playable characters, enemies and more has surfaced online thanks to a new test report.

A new report published on Biohazard Cast, details the demo that was tested prior to the release of the Resident Evil 3 remake earlier this year. The demo took place in a cave and the testers monitored the female character.

According to the source, the test started in a very dark cave, similar to the last caves of Resident Evil 7, and they controlled the female character with a kerosene lamp. We’re guessing this is the same young woman seen in the Resident Evil Village trailer when she carries a lantern.

In this segment, the woman had no weapon and her goal was to escape from the caves. Our source also said that they had the impression that she was very upset and was looking for something. They also reiterated the fact that the caves were dark on numerous occasions and mentioned that they needed to ask a representative to help them adjust the brightness several times.

This cave contained horned bipedal enemies named Strigoi and another witch detailed in previous Resident Evil Village leaks.

These new [враги] carried swords, and could also grab and bite the player. Our source compared the appearance of these enemies to the appearance of Krampus (an evil creature that punishes children at Christmas).

While hiding in the caves, our source says they stumbled upon a file that calls these new creatures “Strigoi”, which, quite interestingly, have a basis in Romanian folklore, in line with the aesthetic we’ve seen so far in Resident Evil Village.

Apparently, there was another “witch” in the caves who seemed to be able to control a Strigoi named “Scarlett”.

Interestingly, this Resident Evil Village demo worked on the PlayStation 4 Pro. The report said it ran smoothly and without performance degradation on the current generation console.

They went on to mention that Resident Evil Village ran very smoothly on the Playstation 4 Pro they were testing and there was no visible FPS loss and the movement was very smooth.

Resident Evil Village is due out on PC and consoles sometime next year.
