The adventure of Dominique Thorne as the new Marvel heroine Ironheart may start sooner than expected. According to the well-known scoop hunter KC Walsh, she will experience her debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Walsh writes on Twitter: “A source I trust seems to have confirmed that Riri Williams [de echte naam van Ironheart] will indeed make an appearance in the second Black Panther movie“.
And this rumor just might be true. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever appears before the series Ironheart and since Marvel announced Thorne’s casting remarkably early, there seems to be a good chance that she’ll be seen in another project first.
In addition, Thorne is a good acquaintance of director Ryan Coogler. In fact; the actress owes the role of Ironheart to him. Coogler got to know Thorne thanks to Judas and the Black Messiah (2021), a film he produced that starred Thorne.
When Coogler learned that Marvel had started looking for the right actress for the superhero role, he personally introduced Thorne to Marvel boss Kevin Feige. She therefore did not have to audition and was simply offered the role.
