Rumor: Dishonored Arkane Creator’s Redfall Releases Early May 2023 – Games – News

Redfall will reportedly be released in the first week of May 2023. This is reported by sources from Windows Central, but also from other subjects. Also, the game may receive an early access period for it.

The Windows news site took those claims to their sources within Microsoft and its subsidiaries, who corroborate the claims. Any early access to the game is described as similar to Forza Horizon 5, which was available to pre-ordered players approximately five days before release.

Redfall is the next FPS game from Arkane Studios, the creators of Deathloop, Dishonored and Prey. Unlike those titles, this one gets a co-op multiplayer mode. This is new to the studio. Arkane has done competitive multiplayer before, in Deathloop and in Dark Messiah of Might and Magic.

The game takes place in the town of Redfall, Massachusetts. Vampires have invaded the city and it’s up to a team of up to four players to repel this invasion. In addition, they will also have to fight against the human supporters of the vampires. The game, like the previous titles, must have a immersive simulation meaning there should be plenty of room to bend the various game mechanics to the player’s liking. One of the directors of the game is Harvey Smith, who also played a key role in the development of Deus Ex.

Redfall will be released for Xbox Series X and S and Windows. As is often the case with Microsoft’s first party games, it will be available immediately via Game Pass.
