At the end of Falcon And The Winter Soldier was clear that Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) had finally stepped into the role of Captain America and thus would still remain an integral part of the MCU.
This means he will likely team up with some of the other new heroes to be introduced, including Shang-Chi (Simu Liu).
But if people largely follow the storyline from the comics, their first meeting can sometimes cause a considerable rivalry.
In comics, Falcon infiltrated an island in a fighting match to help Steve Rogers. However, Shang-Chi was also on that island and when they both run to Cap to help him, they collide for the first time.
Unclear direction
After the events of Avengers: Endgame is still a bit vague which way the MCU plans to go. Anyway, characters come from the taken over 20th Century Fox Studios, but the where and how remains to be seen.
