According to him, the above dates could coincide with when Apple will announce the low-cost tablet, meaning the new iPad Pro M2 could be unveiled around the same time.
Flat edges for the iPad 10 and A14 Bionic?
Previously leaked renders revealed that the iPad 10 would resemble the iPad Pro series flatter edgesas well as a configuration with four speakers paired with a rear camera. It’s possible that Apple doesn’t make too many changes to this model because it wants to keep costs down, but like the third generation iPhone SE, the iPad 10 could see its price hike due to the fact that it would come with a number of updates. For example, the tablet would come with the A14 Bionicthe same SoC present in the iPhone 12 series launched in 2020.
In addition to this powerful chipset, the iPad 10 could also be the first budget tablet in the Apple range to finally benefit from 5G connectivity. This chip may be why Apple is forced to raise the price, but hopefully that’s not the case.
Also, unlike the iPad 9, the iPad 10 could finally switch to USB-C instead sports a Lightning port, which would complete the transition to the new connector, at least for large-screen Apple devices.
As there aren’t many changes coming to this model, Apple will likely launch iPad 10 through a detailed press release. There are two variants of connectivity, as before: the Wi-Fi only version and the Wi-Fi + Cellular versionthe latter more expensive.
