Rumor: Apple wants users to stop yelling “hello” for Siri – IT Pro – News

Multilingual and Siri activation from scratch on Apple Watch are my big frustrations with Siri. How many times have I been in a meeting and then suddenly I said the clock very loudly “Sorry, I didn’t understand, you could repeat itAt the same time I disabled “Hey Siri”, so why this happened is a mystery.

Then multilingual. Siri in the car with Spotify is really a big joke, try starting a Dutch or French song or artist with an English Siri. Fortunately, Spotify is kind enough to press a random podcast across your throat

Also, the chat messages read by Siri, impossible. Many people chat in multiple languages, but Siri doesn’t.

Contacts, the English speaking Siri would like to pronounce it in English as well, nice if you have a mix of international contacts, even Siri is not useful here.

As far as I’m concerned, this shows that this is indeed a service built by Americans with a limited world view. It still amazes me how bad, undersized, and useless Siri is, and Apple pushes it.
