/ world today news/ The manager of the marketing agency “Market Links” and former partner of the Minister of the Interior Rumiana Bachvarova – Tsvetelina Stoyanova, a lawyer and hygienist from the capital are going to court on charges that they organized an illegal network for the sale of babies in our country, they announced on Friday from the prosecutor’s office.
As the leader of the criminal group, the prosecution points to Tsvetelina Stoyanova, who is also a marketing specialist of the “Hope for Us 2008” association. The network for illegal trade in babies also involved the lawyer from the Sofia Bar Association, Snezhina Spasova, and Totka Georgieva, who is a hygienist at the “Vesela Kashta” private kindergarten.
According to the indictment, the criminal scheme was conceived and imposed in September 2013 by Tsvetelina Stoyanova. The association “Hope for Us 2008”, in which she participated as a marketing specialist, supported young people from vulnerable groups and grew up in homes. Through her activities in it and with the help of Totka Georgieva, who also grew up in a home and was accepted by Stoyanova to live in her home, the leader of the group found pregnant women without marriage or separated from their husbands who did not want to raise the children si, mostly due to lack of financial opportunities.
She persuaded future mothers to give their children to be raised by Bulgarian families, willing to pay them between 6,000 and 10,000 BGN. After motivating the women to sell their children, Stoyanova and Georgieva took them to their home in Sofia, where they provided them with food, medicine and took them for medical examinations to monitor them until the day of birth. All this was financed by the applicants for parental rights.
Snezhina Spasova, as a lawyer with experience in the field of adoptions, found Bulgarian families who wanted to raise a child and were ready to pay to avoid the adoption procedure. The lawyer prepared the necessary documents for filing adoption cases and for recognition in the municipalities, gave explanations to families and pregnant women about what documents to get and what explanations to give to the court to allow the adoption. After the woman in labor was discharged from the hospital, Stoyanova handed over the child to the “new parents” and took the mother to her home until the final completion of the adoption procedure.
Special intelligence tools were used in the case.
The three women were detained in a DANS operation on July 30, 2014, before completing their third illegal adoption attempt. Then Bachvarova, who at that time was a member of the Executive Committee of GERB, commented that she had not been in a partnership with Tsvetelina Stoyanova for 5 years.
Bachvarova pointed out that Stoyanova herself has an adopted child and helps the children from a home in Vratsa. She expressed hope that her former partner will be able to prove that the accusations against her are unfounded.
