[Rumeur] Resident Evil 8: New information is surfacing – News

A few days ago, a lot of information about a possible Resident Evil 8 appeared on the internet. Today, new details have been relayed.

First of all, let’s do a little reminder of current rumors. First of all, Resident Evil 8 would be released in 2021 and take up the first person view of Resident Evil VII as well as its character, Ethan Winters. Also, the title would have first been a Resident Evil Revelations 3 before being redesigned as an opus of the main series. We were also told that occultism, hallucinations and madness could be the themes.

Today the site Biohazardcast and Nibel indicate that the title would provisional name Resident Evil Village (VILL representing the number 8), and that it would take place in a typical European place. Players would meet there a central Chris Redfield in the adventure, which would result in flashbacks. Moreover, witches would appear, with skills similar to those of Marguerite Baker in the previous opus. Finally, the user interface would resume the style of those of Resident Evil VII and of Resident Evil 4.
