“I was surprised by the name of Nikolay Mladenov in the Pandora files. The services are obliged to provide information and I expect such,” commented President Rumen Radev on the second Bulgarian name in the Pandora files, BGNES reported.
“I haven’t heard of Bobokovi. Obviously many more people will come out, but differentiate between people in government positions and people from business,” he added.
The head of state also commented on the upcoming elections
Radev said he saw a serious opponent in all presidential candidates and did not divide them on any grounds. Everyone has the right to present their ideas, the president said in response to a question. He reiterated that he accepts support from all Bulgarian citizens for the upcoming presidential elections, BTA reported.
“Make a list of everyone who wants to and I will participate. I have another job,” said President Radev when asked if he would participate in debates to which he was invited by Lozan Panov and Prof. Anastas Gerdjikov.
According to the president, every single problem with the caretaker government,
is carried over into the presidential campaign. This is obviously part of the game, this is what they have decided to play, they can do as much as they can, Radev pointed out. He said he had no intention of entering into that tone of his opponents.
Asked about his opinion to the Constitutional Court,
with which the president wants the Constitutional Court to terminate the case on the citizenship of the former caretaker Minister of Economy Kiril Petkov due to exhaustion of the subject of the case, Rumen Radev pointed out that this is an absolutely legal case and has nothing to do with Kiril Petkov’s personality.
President Radev participated in the official opening of the documentary exhibition “Treasures of the State Archives” at the State Archives Agency.
