The chairman of the ABV Party Rumen Petkov met with the Ambassador of Russia to Bulgaria Eleonora Mitrofanova. He congratulated her on March 8, wishing peace and happiness to all women around the world.
During the meeting, Petkov expressed the party’s position that the Bulgarian people are undeservedly placed on the list of enemy states of the Russian Federation.
He stressed that the relations between our two countries have a rich and glorious history, but they also have a great future ahead of them.
In this sense, placing Bulgaria on the negative list does not correspond to the mood in the country.
In response to Petkov’s insistence on guarantees for constant quality service at Kozloduy NPP, including the potential need for spare parts, he received assurances from Mitrofanova that Russia is doing everything possible for regular deliveries.
The answer from the diploma was also positive for regular gas supplies to our country.
During the conversation, the chairman of the ABC expressed the principled position of the party that sanctions against Russia are essentially harmful and instilling an understanding that they can lead to solving problems is absolutely untenable. The closure of our airspace, for example, has created enormous difficulties, including financial ones, for 3,500 Russian tourists to return to their country, Petkov explained.
At the same time, he welcomed the move by the Bulgarian Ministry of Tourism to guarantee access to a Russian plane, although it received a limited number of tourists.
And among the most ugly ways to harm humanity are the sanctions imposed on prominent Russian sports and cultural figures, said the chairman of the ABC and stressed the need for joint action to expand cultural and sports exchange between the two countries.
Petkov was also adamant that the Bulgarian government did not allow arms exports to Ukraine. A month ago, he raised the issue of uncontrolled US weapons dumping in Afghanistan, but also other potential buyers. The reproach can in no way be addressed to the Bulgarian government, stressed the chairman of ABV.
In her meeting with Eleonora Mitrofanova, Rumen Petkov insisted on objective institutional information on the news from Russia about the current military-biological program in Ukraine, funded by the United States, which has created biological weapons.
This is an issue that greatly worries the Bulgarian society, and should worry Europe in general, because it affects the security of citizens and may have far more serious consequences than COVID-19, said Petkov.
