Kathmandu: In Nepal Deciding to withdraw from the coalition government R.S.P. All three ministers of the party announced their resignations. They had the departments of education, labor and health. Even though the ministers have resigned, the RSP has stated that it will continue to support the current government.
When Prachanda took over as Prime Minister on December 26, Rabi was appointed as Home Minister. He was also the Deputy Prime Minister. But he lost his status on January 27 due to controversies over his US citizenship.
The Supreme Court had found that the citizenship documents submitted by Rabi for the election were invalid. Rabi’s Nepalese citizenship was revoked after he became a US citizen in 2007. After losing the ministerial position Rabi regained his Nepali citizenship within days.
The RSP is the fourth largest party in Parliament with 20 seats. Former Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli’s CPN – UML and RSP of Prachanda There are a total of seven parties in the ruling coalition, including the CPN-Maoist Center.
