Rulík released. And he already has new extra-league engagements

“I got an offer. It wasn’t a day-to-day decision for me because I needed to get everything going through my head. It was decided that I was in Boleslav, where I was maximally satisfied, for four years and I was always when I was with the team. “Fifth season, that’s not it. And I didn’t want to do it again in Boleslav. I considered everything and decided that it was the perfect time to decide for a change,” Rulík told a press conference.

Pardubice was looking for a coach after the team was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the playoffs. “The path of finding a new Dynamo coach was a bit thorny. I’m glad that Radim is here with us and we managed to get a coach who has achieved success. He has success as a person and he is very happy about that. I believe that with us will be the entire duration of the contract and will help us to our goals, which we have set, “said the owner of the East Bohemian club Petr Dědek.

Rulík will lead Pardubice together with Král and Marek Zadina, who is currently still working as an assistant in Třinec. In Mladá Boleslav, he should be replaced by Ladislav Čihák, who was originally supposed to lead the team together with him. However, the Central Czechs have not yet officially announced Čihák’s engagement.

In the past, Rulík worked as an assistant or head coach in Karlovy Vary, Pilsen, Znojmo, Chomutov, Sparta or Litvínov. He won the extra-league title with Severočechy in 2015. He has also been involved in Omsk and Lv Poprad in the Russian Super League and KHL, respectively. He also worked for the junior and senior national teams. In 2000, he was an assistant to Jaroslav Holík at the Golden Junior World Championships, and as a collaborator of Vladimír Růžička, he participated in the title of world champions in 2005.

In Pardubice, Rulík was given the task of at least repeating the position among the top four after the basic part and winning a medal in the playoffs. “We would like it to start on the centenary (since the club was founded),” said Dědek.

In addition to Pardubice, Rulík will probably also work on the junior national team. He is the main candidate for the position vacated by Karel Mlejnek. The management of the East Bohemian club announced in advance that it would agree to cooperate with the Czech Ice Hockey Association.
