Fujairah, September 1st, WAM / His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Muhammad Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, expressed his deep sorrow over the passing of the great Arab poet Karim Al Iraqi, who passed away in Abu Dhabi today.
His Highness said: “The absence of death is one of the most prominent poets of the modern era, and one of the pillars of the poem of Arabic poetry, the great poet Karim Al-Iraqi, who was able to establish a classy poetic school, drawing pictures through the language that are unparalleled .. Karim Al-Iraqi will always remain a rich reference for all lovers of poetry, and his poems will continue to announce the absent. The present is between us, as I previously announced a great poetic talent… All condolences to his family and loved ones… May God have mercy on him and make him dwell in his spacious gardens.
