Party DPP officials Democrat Andi Arief mentioning PDIP cadres Ruhut Sitompul wants the position of Chief of Staff of the President (KSP) which is now held Moeldoko. Andi made the accusation through his personal Twitter account @AndiArief_.
Andi said that Ruhut had met with a member of the DPR from the Democrat faction. During the meeting, Ruhut asked to be facilitated to meet with the Chairman of the Democrats, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono.
After that, Ruhut asked AHY to push himself to become the new KSP to replace Moeldoko when he met Jokowi.
“He asked the president to entrust Mr. Jokowi to replace Mr. Moeldoko who will be replaced soon. It’s crazy, isn’t it, Ruhut wants to coup Mr. Moeldoko in this way,” Andi Arief tweeted on his official Twitter account @AndiArief__ which was allowed to be quoted CNNIndonesia.com, Friday (30/7).
“Ruhut wants the KSP position,” Andi Arief tweeted again.
When contacted, Andi claimed that Ruhut had indeed done that. However, Andi kept secret the members of the DPR from the Democratic faction whom Luhut had met.
“But we keep the names of the members of the Democratic House of Representatives. Ruhut’s many friends are still members of the Democratic House of Representatives,” Andi said when contacted.
Andi also did not answer firmly about AHY’s agenda to meet with President Jokowi. According to Andi, the meeting between AHY and Jokowi was only Ruhut’s hope that he would soon be encouraged to become the new KSP.
“Ruhut’s hope is that (AHY meets Jokowi). But we think Ruhut is stressed, we just laugh about it,” said Andi.

Contacted separately, Ruhut Sitompul denied Andi’s accusations and asked the public not to believe the information. Ruhut admitted that it was impossible to ask Democrats for help because he was a PDIP cadre.
“We don’t believe it. It’s impossible, boss. I’m also sad since I left the party (Democratic Party) it’s getting worse and worse. It’s a shame. There are no good human resources anymore,” Ruhut said when contacted CNNIndonesia.com.
