After six endless months without rugby, the Top 14 and the Pro D2 officially resume their rights this weekend, on the antennas of Canal +. Without forgetting the 2019-2020 season of Premiership which has taken over across the Channel.

In short, we are not going to be bored this weekend in front of the TV, even if the season which begins is already disrupted by the Covid-19, with three games postponed (one in Top 14 and two in Pro D2). Ask for the program!

A whole new program

The inaugural day of Top 14 will be launched by Montpellier and Pau, who will compete this Friday evening (9 p.m.), at GGL Stadium (Canal +). The next day, place on the bill La Rochelle-Toulon (3.15 p.m., Canal +), the ” Collazico ” with reference to Patrice Collazo, current manager of Toulon and former technician of Stade Rochelais. Without forgetting at 6 p.m., the confrontation between applicants in the final stages, Lyon-Racing 92, and the duel Agent-Castres, at Armandie (in multiplex on Canal + and in full on Rugby +).

Finally, the great novelty of this season concerns Sunday evening, where two meetings are scheduled in prime-time sure Canal + and Rugby + (9 p.m. and 8:45 p.m.). To complete this first day, two top 14 leaders, Clermont and the Toulouse stadium, will cross swords at the stadium Marcel-Michelin, while the two promoted from last season, Brive and Bayonne, will compete on the lawn ofAmédée-Domenech.

The Pro D2 broadcast 100% by Canal, with the arrival of video arbitration

The championship of Pro D2 resumed, for its part, this Thursday, September 3, with exactly the same participants as last year, since there was no descent or climb, following the interruption of last season, due to of the health crisis linked to coronavirus. The first day opened with the victory of Biarritz sure Perpignan (21-12), to Aguilera. It will continue all weekend, and even until Monday evening.

The group Canal +, holder of the rights to the Pro D2, did not agree with Eurosport, historical broadcaster of the competition since 2015, and will therefore broadcast all Pro D2 matches : the poster for the day scheduled for Thursday evening on Canal + Sport (8:45 p.m.), five games on Friday evening on Rugby + (7 p.m.), a meeting on Saturday evening in prime-time, on Canal + Sport (9 p.m.) and finally a last match on Sunday (2 p.m.), also on Canal + Sport. Finally, note that video refereeing is also making its appearance in Pro D2 during this season 2020-2021, and you will have to get used to it quickly.
