Beaten in its two previous home matches, Toulon returned to victory on home soil by dropping Racing 92 (25-21) on Saturday, which remained on four victories. The match was close but Toulon made the difference thanks in particular to a “blue” hinge made up of Baptiste Serin and Louis Carbonel (20 pts, 100% at the foot for the latter), efficient and a try of Gabin Villière.

Toulouse took a long time to find the right tempo to overcome Brive (42-17) on Saturday but this success allows Stade Toulouse to consolidate its first place. The return of Romain Ntamack, victim of a broken jaw two months ago, has been difficult with a few hiccups but the essential is elsewhere.
Indeed, Castres has rendered service to Toulouse by dominating La Rochelle (22-15). A new defeat for the Maritimes which can no longer do it. The next two weekends without Top 14 should therefore do them the greatest good.
