Champion of France with Castres in 2013, the former springbok third line Pedrie Wannenburg (41 years old, 20 selections) died after a car accident in the State of Texas.

Pedrie Wannenburg lost his life on Friday April 22 in a road accident. The 41-year-old South African was with his wife and children in the car when a young driver rammed them as he tried to evade police. The facts took place in the State of Texas in the United States, close to where Wannenburg trains, in Austin.

The former player’s wife and daughter are out of danger while his son is in critical condition, says our colleagues from L’Equipe.
