Antonio Ruediger got congratulations from Ronaldo After completing his move to Real Madrid. Ruediger was nervous about talking to his idol.
Ruediger recently completed his transfer to Madrid. The German international defender joined Madrid on a free transfer after his contract with Chelsea was not renewed.
Ruediger signed a four-year contract with Madrid. He will wear the number 22 shirt in no-man’s-land Madrid following Isco’s departure.
After completing his transfer to Madrid, Rudiger got a video call from Ronaldo Nazario. The 29-year-old defender called Ronaldo his idol.
“Ronaldo played in the final (World Cup) 2002 against Germany with a very distinctive haircut,” said Ruediger on the club’s official website.
“When we were kids playing football in the streets, Ronaldo was our idol.”
“When I signed the contract, I spoke to him via video call. I was excited and at the same time very nervous. See you later. Hala Madrid!” said Rudiger.
Ronaldo Nazario strengthened Real Madrid in 2002-2007. The former Brazil striker appeared fertile by scoring 104 goals in 177 appearances.
