The Galician PP has broadcast this Friday its audiovisual Christmas greeting in which a motorist, who turns out to be the leader of the party, Alfonso Rueda, travels through the four provinces to collect wishes from the citizens. In the video there is room for a cameo by former state president Mariano Rajoy, who in Galician combined with a play on words addresses the head of the Xunta: “Ata logo! Go on ‘wheels’!”.

The video starts with an exchange of ‘whatsapps’ between Rueda and his predecessor and current leader of the PP, Alberto Nez Feijo, who reminds him that this year he has to be the protagonist, and then you can see a motorcyclist traveling through Galicia to contact Galician men and women of all ages, from the youngest to the oldest, and linked to different sectors, including the sea or agriculture.

The PPdeG has issued a statement in which it highlights that the fact that the motorcyclist collects 313 wishes –in reference to the 313 town halls of the Community– throughout the four provinces, and travels through both urban and rural areas seeks to reflect that training has “as its only priorities the priorities of Galicians, wherever they live”.

The popular ones emphasize that the references to Rajoy, who stops his walk and says a few words to Rueda, and to Feijo, intends to convey his pride in his past, present and future, assuming that the man from Os Peares will be the next tenant of La Moncloa. , as well as the idea that “Galicia is the way to go”.

The video is humorous and even parodies the lesser social recognition that Rueda may have, when he arrives at the PPdeG headquarters on a motorcycle and introduces himself as the leader of the party as soon as they warn him that you cannot park there.

The PPdeG general secretary, Paula Prado, and the four provincial presidents of the party also ‘act’ in the video: Diego Calvo (A Corua), Elena Candia (Lugo), Luis López (Pontevedra) and Manuel Baltar (Ourense).

All of them (with a Christmas tree and sweater included), together with Rueda and on behalf of the PPdeG, wish the Galicians a Merry Christmas and a prosperous year 2023.

“It may be that ‘we all know each other here’ is not completely accurate. But what is certain is that there is something that we all, known and unknown, have in common: Galicia”, claim the popular ones.
