Rudy Giuliani declared personal bankruptcy in a New York court after being ordered last week to pay $148 million to two electoral assessors he had defamed.

Donald Trump’s former lawyer and former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani declared personal bankruptcy in a city court on Thursday, after being ordered last week to pay $148 million to two electoral assessors of Georgia whom he had defamed.

Rudy Giuliani, spearhead of the former Republican president’s campaign to invalidate the results of the 2020 election, filed a request in Manhattan federal court under the famous Chapter 11 of the bankruptcy law, declaring 500 million dollars in debt and ten million dollars in assets, according to court documents.
