The brand new parents have been living together since last summer and have become a real family thanks to the arrival of their son Bram. According to the proud farmer, his little one is doing very well. “He sleeps, eats, cries, but he is certainly not a crybaby. I think we really shouldn’t complain with him,” said Rudie. “He has dimples in his cheeks, just like Janine and he has my eyes.”

It does take some getting used to to combine caring for a baby with a busy company. Rudie: “I always say: ‘The company does not come first, but always continues’. We have to find our way again. Fortunately, it is now reasonably quiet, so we have plenty of time for that.”
Or he hopes that his son will soon take over dairy farming? The most important thing for Rudie is that his little one will soon do something he likes. “Before I became a dairy farmer I also did a lot of different things, for example, a lot of times abroad. That literally gives you a figuratively wide field of view. I hope for Bram that he will eventually do what he likes, I have that myself I did. And most of all I want to be a good father. I always want to be there for him when needed.”
